For over 10 years, Big Room Sound’s J.R. Fountain has been working in the Toronto film/tv industry starting out as an assistant sound editor, then as a sound editor/designer, and more recently as a re-recording mixer. His work has been nominated for several awards, including a Gemini (Canadian Emmy’s) and multiple MPSE’s. In 2008 he shared in the Best Sound Design award from the Giant Screen Cinema Association for his work on the IMAX film “Wild Ocean 3D”.

As a compliment to his post sound work, J.R. has also become an online content provider of sound effects recordings. His library currently numbers over 5000 sounds and is distributed on websites worldwide.
